Established 1919, The course
is situated some 12 miles from Durham, 7 miles from Bishop
Auckland, the gateway to the Dales.
A
true test of golf and a challenge to all categories of
golfers, with rolling fairways, a couple of blind second
shots and some excellent greens, the pace and consistency
combined with natural borrows make them very interesting.
Par is 70, with a standard scratch of 69 taking in 6076
yards.
Including
5 par 3’s and 3 par 5’s. From the 6th tee
one can enjoy some beautiful scenery around the course
and views for miles around. |

A
welcome awaits the visitor from our friendly staff and
even friendlier members. Billy Hogarth is our present
course warden, a friendly chap who will check your ticket
and ensure you are heading in the right direction with
some tips and advice.

General Public using the footpaths
on the course
Members must be aware at all times of the presence of
general public, who may be using a public footpath that
crosses the course.
Members MUST NOT knowingly play a golf ball towards a
member of the public who is using a foot path, you must
wait until the way in front is clear before playing your
shot.
It is not acceptable to play your shot and shout
FORE!!!
