An Introduction to the Course

Established 1919, The course is situated some 12 miles from Durham, 7 miles from Bishop Auckland, the gateway to the Dales.

A true test of golf and a challenge to all categories of golfers, with rolling fairways, a couple of blind second shots and some excellent greens, the pace and consistency combined with natural borrows make them very interesting. Par is 70, with a standard scratch of 69 taking in 6076 yards.

Including 5 par 3’s and 3 par 5’s. From the 6th tee one can enjoy some beautiful scenery around the course and views for miles around.

A welcome awaits the visitor from our friendly staff and even friendlier members. Billy Hogarth is our present course warden, a friendly chap who will check your ticket and ensure you are heading in the right direction with some tips and advice.

Do enjoy your day at Crook Golf Club and join us for a drink and a bite to eat at the 19th to chat about your game and what you will do next time.
