
LOCAL RULES
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27)
(a) Beyond any wall, fence
or hedge forming the course boundaries.
(b) Beyond the wall to the front side of Clubhouse, and also beyond
the white posts and lines to the rear of the first tee.
2. OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24)
(a) Stones in bunkers are
movable obstructions (Rule 24-1).
(b) Fixed Sprinkler Heads (Rule 24-2) - The specimen Local Rule
contained in the Rule of Golf is in effect - see page 115.
3. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
Water Hazards identify by yellow
stakes or lines are ordinary water hazards. (Rule 26-1a & b)
Water hazards identified by red stakes or lines are lateral water
hazards. (Rule 26-1a, b & c).
4. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES
Protection of Young trees identified
by stakes or guards. If such a tree interferes with a player's
stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted,
without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed
in Rule 24-2b(i). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
5. ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS
Tractor marks in closely mown
areas, relief without penalty is available under Rule 25-1b.
6. OVERHEAD WIRES. (Decision 33-8/13).
If a ball strikes an overhead
wire within the boundaries of the course, the player MUST disregard
that stroke, abandon the ball and play another ball as nearly
as possible at the spot from which the original ball was played
in accordance with Rule 20-5.
