Club Membership

The club, actively encourage you to bring visitor's along to play our course. As a member you will have 20 visitor tickets available as the golf season starts, they are available from Michele in the shop. To book a visitor to play, make the arrangements through the professional shop, alternatively, if the shop is closed sign your visitor into the visitor book, sited in the main reception and place your fee in the visitor box. Remember to obtain your ticket for reference on the course. Failure to do so may result in your visitor being asked to leave the course. If this happens no refund will be given.

The professional shop is generally open Tuesday through Sunday; from approximately 8.00 am to approximately 14.3Opm. The professional, Craig Dilley, is attached to us from Darlington golf club. His wife Michelle runs our shop. This facility is the hub of information booking tee times and Michele provides information and advice on what is happening on the day. The telephone number of the professional shop is 01388 768145. Craig and Michelle operate a first class service, any golf equipment can be obtained at competitive prices. Again nothing is a problem to them, they provide a warm and friendly approach, try their services and judge for your selves.

We have a fantastic social side within the club. Events are well organized and advertised on the notice boards, with tickets behind the bar. We currently operate winter bar hours, which are restricted, check the notice boards for the exact details. Our steward, Greg and his wife Lisa, who are supported by our friendly team of bar staff, manage the bar. The service provided has a high reputation, which is only surpassed by the growing reputation for food. They provide an excellent bar menu, with and extensive menu available for Sunday Lunch and Functions. A warm and friendly atmosphere is the order of the day and they will, within reason, cater for your needs, just ask.

If the course is closed through inclement weather, ring the course information line or the professional shop, they will advise the order of play. If you ring the course information line, let it ring. If it rings constantly the course is open, if it is closed a pre-recorded message will click in advising the state of play. Be patient it may take a number of rings to get through. Alternatively there is a course open or closed sign positioned on the end of the green keeping facility, it will advise the poison with regard to the course. Either open or closed will be evident, please adhere to this instruction.

Remember if the course is closed no one is allowed on the course until a member of the green staff or a member of the greens committee have carried out an inspection and have re-opened the course.

Our course warden Bill Hogarth is there to ensure members and visitors all enjoy their golf and abide by the rules of the club. If you have and invited guest, please ensure the appropriate fees are paid prior to teeing off Bill will ask for the receipt of that payment, possibly when you and your visitor are out on the course. Bill is a very friendly, approachable member who you will see on the course at all times of the day. He will get to know you and he is willing to help should you have a problem, he will point you in the right direction.
